Dear Escape, I have attended your Ashington Cricket Club unit for six weeks and in fact in that time I have had acupuncture and I feel it has done me the power of good. I was greeted by Joan, whom I felt I had known all my life; she made me tea and put me at ease. I have had lengthy talks with Joan and Alan. Joan has helped immensely with my past troubles and given me feelings of contentment about myself. Alan and I have had open and frank discussions about my alcoholism and he has given me some sound advice. It has helped me to open my mind and let out a lot of things that I have bottled up for years. I have not had a drink for seven weeks now and long may it continue. The support has been key to my sobriety and given me a better quality of life.
